A special thanks to all of those that contributed to another successful conference; in particular, Linda Gammon, VMEA Executive Director; Jeff Marlatt, conference coordinator, and Michael Ehrlich, performance coordinator.

This year was an election year for VMEA Leadership. Thank you to those of you that voted, including those that requested and submitted absentee ballots.

Our election results are as follows:

Congratulations to these individuals who will assume their roles on July 1, 2020.

We welcome all conference attendees to complete the conference survey on the Guidebook app. Your feedback is appreciated and utilized in planning future conferences.

VMEA will also have several retirements in the upcoming year.

Linda Gammon will be retiring as the Executive Director of VMEA in June 2020.

Jim Stegner will be retiring in November 2020. Jim currently serves as the Exhibits Coordinator for our annual conference.   Dan Schoemmell will be retiring in November 2020. Dan currently serves as the conference treasurer.

These three individuals have left an indefinable legacy on our organization. Linda, Jim, and Dan will retire with over 100 years of combined service to our great organization. Because of their leadership, vision, and commitment, our organization is a great place as we move forward into this next era.

The Presidents’ Committee is currently defining a timeline and job descriptions for these positions. The job posting will occur after the new year.
